Lucinda Garcia Valdez is a native of Cotulla, Texas, where she graduated from Cotulla High
School. She later attended Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio for her undergraduate
studies, where she earned a B.A. and graduated cum laude. She later attended Thurgood Marshall
School of Law in Houston where she obtained a law degree and graduated cum laude.
